The Kamloops RCMP, who responded to a variety of calls for service including an assault, a vehicle theft, an attempted break-in on Tk’emlúps reserve land and a report of a break and enter that resulted in thousands of dollars worth of jewelry being stolen.
From Friday until 9 am on Monday morning, the detachment received 335 calls for service.

A Kamloops man was arrested and given court-ordered conditions following a report of an assault on the 500-block of Tranquille Road on Sunday night. Shortly after 6:30 pm, officers were called to the house for “multiple” reports of a man allegedly assaulting a woman.
A news release says the man was arrested and appeared in court on Monday.
Mounties are investigating a vehicle theft reported at a gas station on the Trans-Canada Highway on Sunday around 9 pm. According to police, a suspect exited the store, allegedly got into the truck and headed eastbound down the highway, a news release says.
Police are now searching for a 2014 brown Chevy pickup truck, BC market HF2995, with a Skid Row sticker in the back window. The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his late 40s, about 5’5”, with a scruffy beard, wearing a green jacket and black Crooks and Castles hat.
The Tk’emlúps responded to a report of someone using a grinder to try and break into a commercial tool shed Saturday night. A resident phoned police around 10:20 pm to report the break and enter in progress and reported that the suspect allegedly tried to assault the “property representative.” Officers responded to the 500-block of Cree Drive.
According to a news release, the Police Dog Service Unit was called in because the suspect fled on foot and remains at large. He is described as a Caucasian man in his 50s, 5’7” with a slight build, wearing a face covering, grey hoodie, and dark pants.
The Kamloops RCMP are investigating a break and enter at a shed on a property on the 2400-block of Ord Road on Saturday. According to a news release, tools, clothes and a remote-control car collection was stolen.
The police are asking anyone with information or security footage from the area to contact them.
A person in the midst of a mental health crisis was taken to the hospital this weekend. According to a news release, multiple officers responded to a house on Carson Crescent around 10 pm on Saturday for a report of a “high-risk” person who may have had a weapon. The person exited the house and was apprehended without incident and given medical assessment and care, says a news release.
