(UPDATE: June 17, 2020) - Sadly, a dog that fell over a waterfall in Lynn Canyon last month was found deceased.
District of North Vancouver Fire and Rescue Services has confirmed that the body of the missing dog was found over the weekend.
(Original story May 25, 2020) - A family is searching for their pet after it fell from a waterfall in Lynn Canyon over the weekend.
The North Vancouver Fire Rescue is asking hikers to be on the lookout for Maya, a 9-year-old golden retriever.

According to Maya’s owners, they lost Maya after she fell on Saturday. Maya is microchipped and is a very strong swimmer.
Firefighters joined an effort to find Maya on Saturday, and family and friends have been searching since she disappeared, but as of the last update from the owners yesterday, Maya is still missing.
People are asked to report any sightings to the fire department at (604) 543-6700.
