Cross your fingers for clear skies this weekend, because there’s a good chance of seeing the Aurora Borealis, aka the Northern Lights.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration is predicting a geomagnetic storm today and tomorrow, which has the potential to have a minor impact on satellite operations and may cause weak power grid fluctuations.
It may also result in the Aurora lighting up the sky at high latitudes.
According to The Weather Network, we can expect to see some light across Canada on Saturday and Sunday because of a Coronal Hole High-Speed Stream and a Co-rotating Interaction Region. These factors may cause an even bigger display of the Northern Lights.
So get your cameras ready just in case, because it sounds like Canada will be in for a show this weekend!
