Transport Canada has announced the recall of over 80,000 Honda vehicles.
The recall is due to dangerous airbags on the driver’s side of certain Honda and Acura models.
Included in the recall are cars, light trucks and vans, minivans and SUVs as old as 2001 and as recent as 2010.
"On certain vehicles, there could be a problem with the driver-front airbag inflator," reads a release from Transport Canada.
"This could cause the airbag to deploy with more force than normal. If the airbag inflator ruptures, pieces could be propelled toward the occupants. This could also cause damage to the airbag assembly and prevent it from inflating properly."
