How to “Experience the Memories” at the 2020 Memorial Cup presented by Kia

On a beautiful spring day in 2004, the sun reflected upon Okanagan Lake, home of the legendary, Ogopogo.

But on this day, not many were paying attention to the mythical serpent in the lake, instead, all eyes were on the serpentine logo plastered on the chest of team captain and hometown kid, Josh Gorges, as he and the Kelowna Rockets hoisted the Memorial Cup in front of a sellout crowd in their hometown of Kelowna, BC.

And since then, the Kelowna Rockets logo has never been brighter... that is, until now.

After 16 long years, the Memorial Cup is returning to Kelowna and this is how you can "Experience the Memories" from May 21st to the 31st.

First up, check out the schedule and if you haven't already, get your tickets before the tournament sells out.

Once you’ve saved your seats to the 2020 Memorial Cup presented by Kia, you’ll get to cheer on our home team Kelowna Rockets against the winners of the WHL, OHL and QMJHL in a round-robin tournament to determine the winner of the Canadian Hockey League.

But the Memorial Cup is so much more than the games... it's a full-on festival of what Canadians love most: hockey!

The event has wrangled up some of the Okanagan's favourite food and beverages, live entertainment, interactive games, special attractions and hockey history that celebrates CHL legends, generations and rising stars.

One of these featured events is the Fan Festival Zone located in Prospera Place Parking Lot.

Every year, the Fan Festival Zone takes over towns with a 10-day event that's unique to its host. Last year, the 2019 Memorial Cup presented by Kia brought out NHL superstar, Nathan MacKinnon, for a guest appearance in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Which makes you wonder, which celebrities, legends and current stars will show up when Kelowna hosts the mecca of junior hockey from May 21st to the 31st at Prospera Place.

There is little doubt that this will be a festival of legendary proportions. It's already stacked with food vendors, beer stations and live entertainment along with the most epic pre and post-game parties that are worthy of an event 16 years in the making.

But that's just what's going on outside Prospera Place... inside the arena, it'll be electric, raucous and as hot as a summer day in Kelowna. So make sure you have your tickets to get in and see the action on the ice along with interactive games and one-time-only stations peppered throughout the concourse.

Then in between the semi-final and CHL championship game, country superstar, Brett Kissel with special guests, will be Live on the Lake at the JDS Mining Concert Zone on Saturday, May 30th. To get your tickets to Brett Kissel, click here.

To "Experience the Memories" at the 2020 Memorial Cup presented by Kia, get your ticket packages at the Select Your Tickets box office located at Prospera Place, by phone at 250-762-5050 or if you want to see the seat map and reserve your seats right now, go online to SelectYourTickets.com.
