Hundreds of thousands of personal cleaning products recalled due to microbial contamination

Hundreds of thousands of personal cleaning products have been recalled due to potential microbial contamination.

Health Canada said people with weakened immune systems or serious pre-existing conditions are at increased risk of infection from the Vernacare Canada products.

Among the products affected are Senset wet wipes, Oasis shampoo caps and Conti skin wipes.

Anyone in possession of the products should immediately stop using them, Health Canada said.

The agency said 832,451 of the affected items were sold in Canada between April 2020 and April 2022.

As of April 2022, no reports of serious injury have been made to Vernacare.
