Five things you need to know
1. Plane carrying $368 million of gold loses cargo after door breaks
Raining gold sounds great, but it might also hurt to be underneath this cargo spill. A plane in Russia took off from an airport in Yakutsk with ten tons of gold, diamonds and platinum, but it didn’t take long for the plane’s door to break. When that happened, gold literally rained out of the sky. Police have sealed off the area and a search for all the gold is underway.

2. Netflix is reportedly ready to venture into T.V. news
Netflix is seemingly always taking steps forward and changing the entertainment game. Their latest move looks to be a step into T.V. news, as MarketWatch reports that the streaming service is developing a weekly news magazine show. It would be similar to CBS’ 60 minutes and ABC’s 20/20.

3. Study finds that 90% of bottled water contains tiny plastic particles
Many people like to drink bottled water because they assume it’s cleaner than tap water, but that may not be the case. New research from experts at Orb Media has found that nearly all major bottled water brands are contaminated with microplastic particles. The study observed 250 bottles from 11 brands in nine different countries.

4. Woman shares her story after she removed her own eyes
Warning: this story contains graphic material. A 20-year-old South Carolina woman has opened up about her life after gouging out both of her eyes while high on methamphetamine in February. She says that “life is more beautiful now, life’s more beautiful than it was being on drugs. It is a horrible world to live in.”

5. The Vancouver Canucks have gone 3+ games without a goal
It's a tough time to be a Vancouver Canucks fan. The team has struggled all year, but especially so since star rookie Brock Boeser was injured. Their scoring troubles have come to the fore front lately, as the team hasn't scored in more than three games. The team returns home to host the San Jose Sharks this weekend after being shutout in every leg of their three game road trip.
