1. Connecticut court rules maker of AR-15 rifle can be sued over Sandy Hook

The highest court in Connecticut has ruled that the families of those killed in the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting can sue gunmaker Remington. The families can sue over how the company marketed the AR-15 rifle, which was used to kill 20 children and six educators in the 2012 massacre.


2. The Champions League quarter-finals draw has taken place

The final eight teams left in the 2019 Champions League now know who they will be playing in the quarter-finals. Manchester City will take on Tottenham in the all-English matchup, while Ajax and Juventus square off in the only matchup that doesn’t feature a team from England. The other two contests are Liverpool against Porto and Manchester United against Barcelona.


3. New Queer Eye and Arrested Development drop on Netflix

New seasons of two popular series have dropped on Netflix today. Queer Eye’s third season is now live on the streaming service, while part two of the fifth season of Arrested Development is out as well. Fans of both shows have already started watching or are counting down the minutes until they can get home and dig in.


4. Louis Tomlinson’s 18-year-old sister dies of a suspected heart attack

Félicité Tomlinson was found dead in her West London apartment on Wednesday. The 18-year-old sister of Louis Tomlinson, who was a very popular social media influencer herself, is suspected to have died from a heart attack. Her death comes just two years after the Tomlinsons lost their mother.


5. Tributes pour in for Evander Kane

Tributes are pouring in for British Columbian Evander Kane after it was revealed that he and his wife lost their unborn daughter at 26 weeks of pregnancy. Kane released a statement on the devastating news on Thursday, saying his family was “heartbroken” and that he and his wife “will always cherish the time we had with (her) beautiful soul.”
