There’s been a widespread sigh of relief as a three-year-old boy who was prompted an amber alert early this morning has been found safe. The boy was located safe and sound with his mother in the Bathurst and Lakeshore area of Toronto. Police won’t confirm if the mom was arrested at this time.

A pair of floatplanes crashed in mid-air near Ketchikan, Alaska on Monday. A total of 16 people were on the two planes and nine have been rescued, but five are confirmed dead. As of this morning, two of the people on board are still missing.

One of the most anticipated NBA draft lotteries in years is set to take place today. There’s plenty of great talent available in this year’s draft, but the clear prize is generational talent Zion Williamson, who wowed college basketball fans all year long. The New York Knicks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Phoenix Suns all have a 14% chance to landing the top pick, while the Chicago Bulls and Atlanta Hawks each have a 10% or better chance as well.

On Monday, a California jury made a decision in a case between a California couple and agribusiness giant Monsanto Co. The couple was awarded $2.055 billion in what’s been described as a historic ruling. Both plaintiffs have been battling cancer for years and claimed that it was the company’s weed killer Roundup that caused their diseases.
