Officials have declared a state of emergency in eastern Australia, where more than 150 wildfires are burning. At least three people have died and several others have been reported as missing as the “catastrophic” fires continue to burn. The fires have also pushed poor air quality into metropolitan areas like Sydney.

This week’s Monday Night Football game was a classic. The unbeaten San Francisco 49ers were taken to overtime by the Seattle Seahawks. Just when it looked like the Seahawks were going to win, Russell Wilson threw a rare interception that led to a game-winning field goal try for the 49ers. After their rookie kicker missed, the Seahawks kicker won the game with no time left on the clock.

Following the death of a 19-year-old freshman this weekend, San Diego State University has suspended all fraternities. It’s believed the student attended a fraternity event prior to being found unresponsive in his dorm room. There are 14 fraternities on campus and all of them have been temporarily shut down.

The Toronto Raptors were competing against a familiar face on Monday. For the first time since he helped the Raptors win the NBA championship, Kawhi Leonard and his new team, the Los Angeles Clippers, played against Toronto. The Clippers ended up winning the game 98-88, but it was all love between the former teammates.
