1. Hurricane Florence death toll continues to rise
According to the Associated Press, the death toll for Hurricane Florence has risen to at least 32 with the majority of them coming in North Carolina. That number will likely continue to rise as severe flooding continues to plague areas of North and South Carolina. Thousands have been rescued so far.

2. Japanese MMA fighter dies at age 41
The MMA world lost one of its family today. Japanese fighter Norifumi ‘Kid’ Yamamoto lost his battle with cancer, one month after revealing he had the disease. He was 41-years-old. Tributes have poured in for the former UFC star, who had a ridiculous four-second knockout during a fight back in 2006.

3. iOS 12’s screen time feature is testing some people
A feature of the new iOS 12 is certainly testing a lot of people when it comes to phone usage. The screen time feature tracks your phone use and can also limit it if you so choose. Many are finding that they spend way more time on social media than they initially thought and it’s acted as quite the eye opener.

4. The Cleveland Browns have finally traded Josh Gordon
What seemed like a never ending saga between Josh Gordon and the Cleveland Browns is finally over. The extremely talented wide receiver was traded to the New England Patriots on Monday, where he’ll try to restart his career with one of the best teams in football. The Browns will receive a fifth-round pick in return for Gordon.

5. Japanese billionaire is SpaceX’s first moon tourist
SpaceX has finally revealed who its first moon tourist will be. Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa will be the first one to head to the moon as a tourist, which will be an expensive but historic trip. The founder of ZOZO, a custom-fit clothing company, will make the trip in 2023.
