Roma is the betting favourite to win Best Picture at the Oscars

The British Columbia Lottery Corporation is taking bets ahead of the Oscars this weekend.

The 91st Academy Awards are set for Sunday and the Netflix film Roma is listed as the clear favourite to take home Best Picture.

With 1.26 to 1 odds, a bet on Roma to win the night’s main award returns just $26 on a $100 bet.

If you’re feeling like another one of the films nominated for Best Picture could upset Roma and win, there are some great odds out there.

Green Book is listed as the second favourite at 4.4 to 1, The Favourite is next at 16 to 1, BlacKkKlansman is 26 to 1.

Three of the better known movies up for the award are listed as longshots to win, including Black Panther and Bohemian Rhapsody at 30 to 1 and A Star is Born at 50 to 1.

You can also place wagers on the evening’s other awards, including Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Animated Short and more.

Rami Malek is the clear favourite for Best Actor for his portrayal of Queen’s Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, while Glenn Close’s performance in The Wife is expected to win her Best Actress.
