Mystery surrounds discovery of dirt bikes in wooded areas around Salmon Arm

Mounties in Salmon Arm are turning to the public in hopes of solving the mystery behind the recent discovery of three dirt bikes.

According to the RCMP, the dirt bikes were found in wooded areas in the city over the past five days.

“All three bikes are believed to be stolen, but were not reported prior to being located,” noted an RCMP release.

Police said the first dirt bike was discovered on a trail near the end of 9th Ave NE on April 21.

The other two bikes, also found in the 9th Ave NE area, were found this morning.

Anyone with information about these dirt bikes is urged to contact the Salmon Arm RCMP at 250-832-6044.

Owners can call the same number within 90 days to try and claim the dirt bikes, as long as they can provide a detailed description.
