Kamloops Blazers fans will finally be able to celebrate the team’s recent success together this weekend.
The organization will be lifting a pair of BC Division champion banners to the rafters of Sandman Centre before Saturday night’s game against the Victoria Royals.

Kamloops finished with a 41-18-3-1 record in the 2019-20 season and were poised to make a run towards the Memorial Cup in Kelowna before the COVID-19 pandemic shut down the season.
They were so good, however, that they had already clinched the division when the WHL stopped playing in March.
In 2020-21, a shortened season played in empty arenas against only divisional opponents, the Blazers finished 18-4-0-0 to repeat as BC Division champs.
It’s the first time since the 1993-94 and 1994-95 seasons that Kamloops has won the division title in back-to-back seasons.
The team currently has a seven point cushion over the Kelowna Rockets as it guns for a third straight title, but the Rockets do have three games in hand.
Tickets are still available for both Friday night and Saturday night’s games against the Royals this weekend.
Unfortunately, capacity is limited to 2,957 due to provincial health restrictions, but the first 2,500 fans through the door on Saturday will get a free t-shirt.
