The updated totals now sit at 472 confirmed cases in the province, with 33 cases of the virus being treated in hospital and 13 deaths.

On Monday, provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry said testing confirms that 100 people have recovered from the virus.

Of the 13 COVID-19 related deaths in BC, 11 have been connected with long-term care homes in the Lower Mainland.

The province has tested 18,000 people for the coronavirus as of Monday, with a backlog of testing accumulated over the last week and a half being almost resolved.

According to officials, the total number of cases by region sits at:

  • 248 in Vancouver Coastal Health
  • 150 in Fraser Health
  • 39 in Island Health
  • 30 in Interior Health
  • 5 in Northern Health

On Saturday, Henry ordered that personal service establishments close, including spas, salons, tattoo shops, and massage parlours.

Restaurants have been ordered to only serve take-out meals, and must close dine-in services.
