The BC Interior saw another 95 cases of COVID-19 identified over the past 24 hours.
It brings the region to 5,560 total cases since the start of the pandemic, with 1,098 currently active.
As of today, 32 people are hospitalized due to COVID-19 in Interior Health hospitals and seven of them are in intensive care.
Unfortunately, another two deaths were announced by IH today, including another one at Noric House in Vernon, which means 57 people have now died from COVID-19 in the BC Interior.
“I know people are fatigued by the impact COVID-19 on our day-to-day lives,” explained Susan Brown, president and CEO of IH.
“However, the ongoing challenges of this pandemic shows us we need to continue to be vigilant and compassionate. We all need to do our part to reduce the risk of COVID-19 in our communities.”
