Tessa Virtue, Scott Moir, Patrick Chan and others return to Prince George this fall

Okanagan residents will have another chance to see Canada’s biggest skating superstars up close and personal this year.

Less than a year after their ‘Thank You Canada’ tour, a number of big name skaters will be heading across Canada again, this time for the ‘Rock The Rink’ tour.

That includes Canada’s sweethearts Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir, along with Patrick Chan, Kaetlyn Osmond, Elvis Stojko and some of their international friends.

It’ll stop at the CN Centre in Prince George on Saturday, Oct. 12, one of the tour's five shows in British Columbia.

“Last year, we rode the Olympic wave and carried the momentum through the Thank You Canada tour – a fulfilling project that truly allowed us to connect with fans coast to coast,” said Virtue.

“This year, it’s critical that we elevate the production and generate authentic entertainment in new and creative ways. Scott and I have spent our career striving for more, taking risks, and daring ourselves to be better…our approach to this is no different.”

Moir adds that the goal for Rock The Rink is to give skating and live entertainment fans a show that they can look forward to year after year.

The tour promises a combination of the highest level of on-ice superstar talent with an ever-evolving touring production.

Along with some of the biggest names in Canadian skating, the show will also feature Italian Olympic medalist and world champion, Carolina Kostner.

Fellow Italians Anna Cappellini and Luca Lanotte, both world champions, will be there as well, their first time touring North America.

Jeremy Abbott is coming along for the tour as well, the first time the Olympic medalist and four-time U.S. national champion has toured Canada in seven years.

Tickets for the can’t miss show will go on sale on Friday, May 3 through the Rock The Rink website.
