Kamloops man arrested after refusing to leave washroom at downtown business

A Kamloops man was arrested last weekend following a break and enter that took place all the way in June.

According to RCMP, on Jan. 14 at 8:15 pm, officers responded to a business in the 900 block of Columbia Street West for reports of a man in a washroom who was refusing to leave.

Upon arrival, officers found the man and arrested him for a warrant they acquired earlier that day.

“The warrant was issued following an investigation into a residential break and enter and theft report, which occurred on June 12, 2021, around 11:25 pm," said Cst. Crystal Evelyn.

Eric Andy Conrad Noble, a 41-year-old River City resident, was charged with break and enter, committing an indictable offense and possession of stolen property.

Noble was held in custody for a bail hearing on Jan. 15. He has since been released and is set to appear in court again on Feb. 24.
