Residents who live on or commute through the North Shore should be aware of some updated road construction happening this week.
The City of Kamloops says crews will be doing patch work on Tranquille Road from north of Renfrew Avenue to Elm Avenue from Aug. 8 to Aug. 19.
Between Renfrew Avenue and Poplar Street, traffic will be reduced by one lane. South of Poplar Street, traffic will be single-lane alternating.
A two-month long project on 12th Street began on Monday. Crews are working on 12th Street between Tranquille and Kenora Roads.
Works include resurfacing, installing traffic calming measures, installing new sidewalks and curbs and more.

Back in June, construction and upgrades on Bebek Road, near Westsyde Secondary School, began and resulted in several traffic pattern changes.
On Sunday, Aug. 14, Westsyde Road will be reduced to single lane alternating traffic between Palmer Place and Jensen Road from 7 am to 7 pm.
Crews will be finishing up upgrades to the water main in the area.
Bebek Road will be open to local traffic only.
Westsyde Pool and Fitness Centre can be accessed through a detour on Puhallo Drive.
This project is expected to be finished in October 2022.
