It's official, Kamloops' newest piece of art is complete!
The artist behind the scene, Bill Frymire, posted a time-lapse to show just what went into making the Landsdowne Parkade Art Project shine.
"Here is the time lapse video I took while installing the last two sides of the parkade mosaic," wrote Frymire in a Facebook post. "This is the unedited version that still has nights and weekends in it. Five weeks of labour compressed to under two minutes. One photo every six minutes."
Over 80,000 kinetic tiles were used to create the mosaic of the Thompson River surrounding the building.
The City spent $1.4 million upgrading the parkade, $166,000 of which, went towards the art.
