Kentucky Eileen brings a southern style party to DunnEnzies grand opening celebration

DunnEnzies threw a party to remember last night at their new location in the Mission.

Complete with pizza, beer, dancing, charity, and live music from local artists, you couldn’t ask for much more out of a grand opening celebration.

Jesse Blashill warmed up the crowd with some bluesy country ballads. Then, Kentucky Eileen took the stage and got everyone’s feet tapping and dancing for two sets.

The night proved that we can look forward to the Mission restaurant being a new and lively venue for live music, showcasing how rich the city is with talent.

Owners and partners Karyn Mackenzie and Deb Dunnigan said a few words between music sets, expressing how grateful and humbled they were by the support for their newest expansion.

They opened their first location less than 10 years ago, and now have four establishments where people can get great pizza, drinks, and live music.

DunnEnzies teamed up with Denim on the Diamond to benefit Music Heals Canada, which supports music therapy services in communities across the country.

Steam Whistle was a drink of choice, with $2 from every one of their beers going towards the charity. For every $150 donated, Music Heals can provide two hours of music therapy to a Kelownian in need of some healing.
