The Camosun Chargers men’s volleyball team are CCAA national champions for the second straight year, defeating the Humber College Hawks 25-19, 25-22, and 25-20 in straight sets.
They become the first back-to-back champions since the Red Deer Polytechnic Kings in 2016 and 2017 and the first consecutive champions in school history.
Lucas Maffia was named player of the game in the finals, while Eduardo Bida captured tournament MVP honours.
It is the third national championship in the history of the men’s program.
The Chargers women also enjoyed a successful national championship tournament, earning a second-place finish after falling to the Lakeland College Rustlers in the finals.
