Pacific FC completes sign and loan of midfielder Simon Triantafillou to FC Edmonton

Pacific FC has completed a deal to sign and loan midfielder Simon Triantafillou to FC Edmonton, where he is expected to spend the remainder of the 2022 season.

The 23-year-old Burlington, ON product was a standout NCAA Division I talent, playing in 66 career games for the Syracuse University Orange from 2017-2019 before joining the Providence College Friars for the 2021 season, where he led the team with six assists.

“Simon is a technically sound and intelligent footballer who we are excited to work with this season,” said FC Edmonton Head Coach Alan Koch. “His mentality, attitude, and willingness to grow in our environment has been present since he came into training last week. I am excited to help him have a successful first professional season with FC Edmonton.”

Triantafillou is expected to return to Pacific FC following the completion of his loan at the end of the 2022 season.
