It is not quite the return of the Vancouver Grizzlies. But, the chance to watch NBA players in action is coming very soon to Victoria!
The Save-On-Foods Memorial Centre will play host to an open practice and charity scrimmage on Friday, Sept 30 from the Toronto Raptors, as they prepare for the 2022-23 season.
Hosted by Friends of Victoria Basketball, the practice and scrimmage will help raise funds for local Indigenous organizations.
The event on September 30 is following the success of last month's FIBA World Cup qualifying games in Victoria, where the Canadian National Team won both matches.
Tickets will go on sale at 10 am on Friday, Sept. 16, as the prices will range from $20-$40.

Friends of Victoria Basketball is a not-for-profit local organizing committee that has been responsible for putting on the FIBA Olympic Qualifying Tournament, We the West Basketball Festival and the FIBA World Cup qualifier at the Save-On-Foods Centre.
The Raptors begin training camp on September 27, with the regular season kicking off on October 19, as Donovan Mitchell and the Cleveland Cavaliers visit Toronto.
