The 28-year-old has spent the past three seasons on the Island after making his debut for PFC in 2020. He has remained a consistent presence up front for the club and was an integral part of their 2021 CPL Championship team less than two years ago.

He is excited to continue to build his legacy and lead the team back to the top as he takes on the role of team captain:

“It’s a huge honour,” said Heard in a press release. “This is my home, this is my club, and every time I’m out there I wear the badge with serious pride so the fact that I’m now going to be captain and lead this team from the front is something I’m very proud of.”

Heard has played in 54 games for the Tridents since 2020, recording 11 career goals. Prior to joining PFC, Heard played professionally for the Victoria Highlanders of the VISL, Puget Sound Gunners FC of the USL League 2, the Bethlehem Steel and the Real Monarchs of the MSL Next Pro league and spent time with FC Pinzgau Saalfelden of the Austrian third division.

In addition to Heard serving as captain, midfielder Manny Aparicio, centre-back Thomas Meilleur-Giguère and defender Amer Didic round out the leadership group for the upcoming season.

Pacific FC will begin their 2023 campaign with a matchup against Vancouver FC on Saturday, Apr. 15 at Starlight Stadium in Langford.
