Another West Kelowna Warriors player has officially committed to play NCAA Division 1 hockey following their junior career.
The club announced today that Chase Dafoe has committed to Providence College for the 2022-23 season.
“It’s been a dream of mine to finally commit,” Dafoe said. “I knew coming to the Warriors (that) I’d have a great chance at getting this commitment and I couldn’t be happier right now.”
Dafoe added that Providence being close to where he grew up in Beverly, Massachusetts is just one of the reasons the school is a great fit.

The 19-year-old has been a great two-way forward for West Kelowna and has registered 18 points in 28 games so far this season.
Head coach Simon Ferguson expressed excitement for Dafoe and his family and had nothing but good things to say about the forward’s game.
“Chase competes at a high level every game, playing in all situations while bringing leadership to the dressing room,” explained Ferguson.
Dafoe will join Warriors’ alumni Kyle Koopman in Providence next season.
