Get ready to mosh in the mountains once again!
After a milestone 10th year featuring some of the biggest headliners to date, Armstrong Metal Festival (AMF) is ready to return next weekend.
The 2019 festival will manage to squeeze in 33 bands from across Canada, the United States and even Europe, for two days of metal magic.
Set to headline the 11th year are American tech-death band, Origin, and the goblin fronted melodic-death band, Nekrogoblikon.
Other highlights from what may be the festival’s most impressive lineup yet, includes extreme metal band, Betraying The Martyrs from France, Slovenia's Within Destruction, and 2018 Wacken Metal Battle champions, Centuries of Decay from Ontario.
"[This] is our first opportunity to have some bands from overseas in," said Bretton Melanson, President of West Metal Entertainment, co-founder of AMF.
"Our original dream of bringing the European metal fest feel to Canada is really taking shape, and I'm so grateful to still be a part of this," added Melanson.
In addition to giving attendees a taste of metal from around the world, the event places the utmost importance on highlighting the local, up and coming bands from the Okanagan and Vancouver.
Kelowna’s own Apollyon, ArkenFire, Death Machine and Indecipherable Noise are all set to conquer the stage.
Taking over the IPE grounds and Hassen Arena in sleepy Armstrong, the festival is not just about the music.
The family-friendly event offers cozy camping, and entertainment every second of the day courtesy of outdoor Thrash Wrestling, various interactive activities and more.
Festival passes are available now for $135 online, and will be available at the gate for $175 so jump on it early!
