The Penticton Neighbourhood Association (PNA) is inviting the community out to the inaugural Earth Day Community Clean up this weekend.
The vent will kick off at Gyro Beach on Sunday at 10 am.
“The Penticton Neighbourhood Association is excited to help Pentictonites meet new neighbours, enjoy the outdoors, and contribute to keeping our city beautiful,” says Nicolas Stulberg, Community President of the PNA, in the release.
“A cleanup event is a small investment of time that has positive gains for all residents.”
A news release says all cleanup material will be provided but attendees are encouraged to dress for the weather (which is supposed to be cloudy with a high of 14ºC), bring comfortable footwear, and a friend, family member or neighbour.
For more information, you can visit the PNA’s Facebook or Instagram or website.
“We’re excited to see the community come together in the spirit of Earth Day and hope to see many new faces learn about the PNA,” states Madisyn McMillan, neighbourhood captain for the Main North area, where the cleanup is taking place.
“We encourage everyone to bring their friends and family members to participate.”
