Aggressive moose spotted near Ginter's Meadow

Prince George residents should be advised as a moose is on the loose near Ginter's Meadow.

According to the City of Prince George, a moose cow and her calves are still active in the area. This warning follows an incident where a dog and its owner were injured from the animal.

Moose often view dogs as predators and can become aggressive when they see one. The City has installed warning signs on the trails near Ginters Meadow as well as at the Meadow itself to help ensure visitors to the area are aware of the situation.

To avoid a conflict with the moose in the area, keep pets on leashes and stay close to nearby streets or wooded areas.

Wildlife is a part of the landscape of the city and residents should always take caution when going into the great outdoors.
