Police say ‘no criminality suspected’ after young BC boy hit by car while crossing road

The investigation into a scary incident in Prince George has wrapped up and no charges will be coming.

Police say there is “no criminality suspected” after a young boy was hit by a car while crossing the road on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Prince George RCMP, the incident happened around 3:30 pm after the boy got off a city bus.

Cpl. Jennifer Cooper said the bus was still parked at the stop in the 3600 block of Winslow Drive when the vehicle hit the boy.

“Police officers attended the location and spoke with the driver of the vehicle involved, who is cooperating fully with the police investigation,” she noted.

Cooper added that the RCMP’s thoughts are with the young boy and they “wish him a speedy recovery,” but did not comment on his condition.

With no criminality suspected and the driver cooperating, the RCMP has closed the file on this case.
