A pair of $40K chairs stolen from BC furniture store

An overnight break-in at a Vancouver furniture store resulted in the theft of two chairs worth $40,000 each.

It happened at Lloyd Bruce Home Collections shortly after 3 a.m. on May 13.

The stolen chairs have gold, serpent arms and are believed to be the only two of their kind in Canada.

“Based on the information learned so far, it’s obvious that the suspects targeted this particular furniture store to specifically steal the two arm chairs,” says Sgt. Jason Robillard.

“We are hopeful that someone will recognize these unique chairs and call investigators.”

One suspect was a man with a slim build who was wearing white runners, blue jeans, a white belt, dark hoodie, baseball hat and gloves at the time.

The other man, described as having a medium build, was wearing dark pants, dark sneakers with white laces, a dark hoodie jacket and a baseball hat.

They fled the scene in a white, Ford 150 pickup truck.

Anyone with information regarding the break in is asked to call the VPD’s property crime unit at 604-717-0610.
