Additional 13 flights through BC added to the province's COVID-19 exposure list

The BC Centre for Disease Control has added another batch of flights to the province's COVID-19 exposure list.

According to the BC CDC, 13 new flights through Vancouver had confirmed cases of the virus. Of the 13, five were international trips and eight were domestic.

On Jan. 3, two Air Canada flights had confirmed cases. Flight 551 from Los Angeles to Vancouver had an exposure between rows 12 and 15 while flight 114 from Vancouver to Toronto had its exposure in rows 50 to 55.

Jan. 5 had a positive test on Air Canada flight 107 from Toronto to Vancouver and Air Canada flight 567 from San Francisco to Vancouver. The affected people were seated in rows 31 to 37 and 12 to 16 respectively.

Four days later, Lufthansa flight 492 from Frankfurt to Vancouver had an exposure between rows 22 and 26.

Jan. 10 had three Air Canada flights with confirmed cases. Flight 241 from Edmonton to Vancouver had a carrier in rows 26 to 32, flight 123 from Toronto to Vancouver had a positive test between rows 18 and 21 and flight 106 from Vancouver to Toronto saw its case between rows 12 and 14.

The final five exposures occurred on Jan. 11. Air Canada flight 305 from Montreal to Vancouver, Air Canada flight 311 from Montreal to Vancouver, WestJet flight 227 from Calgary to Vancouver, Lufthansa flight 492 from Frankfurt to Vancouver and Royal Dutch Airlines flight 681 from Amsterdam to Vancouver had positive tests in various rows.
