Ambleside Music Festival is back for another year after a successful rebrand in 2022.
The West Vancouver festival will return Aug. 19-20 and it dropped the first five names from its 2023 lineup this morning.
Weezer, Third Eye Blind, Bahamas, Said The Whale and Bran Van 3000 will all perform at Ambleside Park this August.
While this will technically be the 10th version of Ambleside Music Festival, it’s only year two of the event’s new brand and format.
It returned after a two-year pandemic hiatus in 2022 with a focus on indie or alternative rock and there was a very favourable response to the changes.
“We continue to evolve the vision we set out for Ambleside Music Festival years ago, and being from West Vancouver myself, it’s great to see how this festival brings the community together,” said Graham Lee, president of the GSL Group, the company behind the event.
The 2022 return featured names like The Offspring, Mother Mother, Marianas Trench, Walk Off The Earth and plenty more.
It also had a stacked undercard of great bands from BC, Canada and beyond, so fans can surely expect something similar when those names are released for 2023 in the coming weeks.
Tickets are now on sale for the 2023 festival and they will set you back $215 plus fees for a two-day general admission pass, while VIP tickets are $365 plus fees.
