Another real life treasure hunt is starting soon in BC and Alberta

Y’arrrrr! Calling all pirates.

Another treasure hunt be brewing in BC and Edmonton.

GoldHunt will soon launch three more treasure hunts across Vancouver, Calgary, and Edmonton.

In June, the company held a similar contest where contestants were tasked with finding locally hidden treasure chests containing $100K.

Contestants were asked solve hints, riddles, poems, and reference points on their purchased treasure map to lead them to the loot.

Unsurprisingly, those contests proved extremely popular, with all three treasures being found within two weeks.

On Monday, June 24, GoldHunt’s organizers announced to would-be pirates that they have plans for GoldHunt 2, which is expected to feature more history-centric riddles, more checkpoints, and a storyline, according to a blog post.

“It is official that GoldHunt round two is in the works,” said organizer Chris Cromwell in an online video.

“You wanted it to be tougher, you wanted to see history incorporated, you wanted more loot, well, ask and you shall receive, my friends.”

Maps for the three new hunts are expected to go on sale Saturday, June 29, with the clues being sent to participant’s inboxes on July 27, 2019, to officially start off the treasure hunts.

To participate, you must be a Canadian citizen and be the age of majority.

Maps will be available for purchase on the GoldHunt website as of June 29.
