BC church fined $2.3K because 'congregation would not disperse'

A British Columbia church has been fined $2,300 for violating COVID-19 rules.

Langley RCMP said its officers gave worshipers at the Riverside Calvary Church in Langley “an opportunity to disperse” on Sunday morning.

“They had been advised in the past by Langley ByLaw Enforcement,” police said.

“The congregation would not disperse.”

As a consequence a representative of the church was issued with a $2,300 ticket.
