BC’s biggest waterpark finally opens for the summer on Wednesday

In a normal year, Cultus Lake Waterpark would have been open for weeks by now and provided fun days in the sun for thousands of visitors.

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, the popular waterpark, which is the biggest in British Columbia, has not been able to open up the gates yet.

That will soon change, as Cultus Lake Waterpark is finally set to open to the public on Wednesday!

On the park’s website, it says that guests can expect “new rules, new rates, new hours,” which makes sense given the current state of the world.

Here's a summary of what you can expect at the Cults Lake Waterpark this summer:

  • Two daily sessions where you can visit the park for a maximum of four hours (9 am - 1:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 7 pm).
  • No reservations are available at this time and you're asked to come early (slides will start 30 minutes after the 9 am and 2:30 pm opening times).
  • Cost is $25 per session and there's no in-and-out privileges.
  • The Espresso Hut and Main Foods Concession Stand will be open, but other food outlets will be closed.
  • Other COVID-19 precautions and health requirements will be in place, which you can learn about here.

The waterpark will remain open every day, rain or shine, for two months before closing down for the year on Sept. 7, so you have plenty of time to make a trip to check it out.
