Everyone above 18 will be able to register for a COVID-19 vaccine by Friday

The province of British Columbia released its latest schedule for COVID-19 vaccine registration on Sunday.

According to the province, more than 1.8 million residents will be able to register for their vaccine in the week ahead as BC's Get Vaccinated Plan moves forward. Those aged 40 and up will be able to register on Monday while anyone 18 and up will have to wait until Friday.

Shown below is the schedule for different age cohorts:

  • Monday: Registration opens for people aged 40 and up.
  • Tuesday: Registration opens for people aged 35 and up.
  • Wednesday: Registration opens for people aged 30 and up.
  • Thursday: Registration opens for people aged 25 and up.
  • Friday: Registration opens for people aged 19 and up.

To make everything run smoothly, residents are asked to wait until their cohort is eligible to register. The fastest way to get your spot is to sign up through here.

In order to register, people need to know their personal health number, postal code, first and last name, date of birth and an email address they check regularly.

Any Indigenous people, immunocompromised and those born before 1976 are already eligible for their vaccine. They can sign up online 24 hours a day, through 1-833-838-2323 from 7 am to 7 pm or in person at a Service BC location.
