The dominos continue to fall for former BC Premier Gordon Campbell following the allegations of sexual assault allegations levied against him.
Last week, Campbell’s position as a special adviser for the PR firm Edelman was suspended. He had been with the New York City based company since July.
On Wednesday, the Manitoba government announced it was “pausing” its relationship with Campbell, who had been hired last fall to review two major hydro projects.
This all following the allegations reported by the Daily Telegraph that London police investigating a complaint from a woman accusing Campbell of groping her in 2013.
The woman was an employee at the Canadian High Commission when Campbell was high commissioner to the U.K.
In response, Campbell released a statement saying the allegation had previously been investigated by the Canadian government and was ruled unfounded.
Campbell served as the Liberal premier of British Columbia from 2001 to 2011, and served as Canada’s high commissioner to the U.K. from 2011 to 2016.
