A small earthquake was felt off Victoria today, and some residents reported feeling the quake lightly.
According to Earthquakes Canada, the location was 10 km northeast of the city at a depth of 26 km.
It was recorded at 4:13 am, at a magnitude of 2.4. A total of 7 people reported to Earthquakes Canada that they felt the event.
As of this afternoon, 32 people felt the earthquake according to reports submitted to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Of the 32 reports, 27 originated from Canada.
