BC has launched a back to work program targeted at the age demographic most affected by COVID-19 layoffs.
The “Community Workforce Response Grant” will offer BC residents aged 15-29 the chance to land a job working outdoors.
With almost 25% of youth currently unemployed in BC, communities across the province can apply for a community-service project of their choosing such as trail building or beach clean-up and hire local youth for the project.
Some towns, communities and regions are eager to welcome BC visitors with safety measures in place. Others are asking travellers to visit later -- now is not the time. Do your research to make sure the community you want to visit is welcoming visitors. #exploreBC #DoYourPartBC pic.twitter.com/cCXOphqOgR

Participants can also receive wraparound supports like bus passes, child are, work boots and personal protective equipment for the work
