Three West-Kelowna men charged in ‘Super Lab’ meth operation

On Tuesday, charges were laid against three West Kelowna men in connection with a meth drug lab operating near Rock Creek that was shut down in March of 2017.

According to Police, on that date, several groups including the RCMP’s Serious Crimes Unit executed a search warrant on the rural property, seizing a significant quantity of illicit drugs and numerous weapons.

In total, 20 kilograms of methamphetamine, with another 20 – 30 kilograms of methamphetamines in various stages of production were seized along with five long barrel firearms and two long barrel firearms.

Another 75 kilograms of ephedrine tablets which could produce 57 kilograms of methamphetamine was seized as well.

"This lab was extremely large and complex. Stopping this lab from further production will have a positive impact on the environment,"said Sgt. Derek Westwick.

"It will also have a positive impact in Western Canada by keeping these drugs off the street."

The operation was defined as a "Super Lab", meaning it was capable of producing 5 kg of finished product within a 24 hour period.

The three men from West-Kelowna, Dylan Frederick Crossland-Schmode, Jordon William Herron-Paugh, Dustin Gordon Paugh, have all been charged with five drug related charges.
