VIDEO: Two elk freed after being buried by collapsed hay stack in BC

Wildlife sometimes finds itself in bizarre circumstances, and the BC Conservation Officer Service has shared another such occurrence.

On Twitter, the conservation service wrote that they were called to a property where an elk had become trapped by a collapsed hay stack in Smithers.

While removing the hay from the elk, a second elk was discovered buried further inside the pile.

Video shows the second elk taking a moment before standing up.

The conservation service said that the two animals eventually got up and left the site unharmed.
