Wildlife sometimes finds itself in bizarre circumstances, and the BC Conservation Officer Service has shared another such occurrence.
On Twitter, the conservation service wrote that they were called to a property where an elk had become trapped by a collapsed hay stack in Smithers.

While removing the hay from the elk, a second elk was discovered buried further inside the pile.

The conservation service said that the two animals eventually got up and left the site unharmed.
