Travellers looking to head east using Hwy 1 should be aware of some delays coming to the road.
According to Drive BC, avalanche control work is taking place between the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk and the east boundary of Glacier National Park.
The work started at 11 am and is slated to continue until 4 pm.
Closures between one and two hours are expected. No detours will be available.
