Travellers looking to use Hwy 1 should be aware of some planned work between Revelstoke and Golden today.
According to Drive BC, avalanche control work will close the Trans Canada Highway from 11 am to 1 pm.
The closure is set between the Hemlock Grove Boardwalk and the west boundary of Glacier National Park.
Detours will not be available during this time. Traffic control personnel will be on scene and travellers are asked to be cautious of their whereabouts.
The road is expected to reopen by 1 pm. NowMedia will update the story when more is available.
