While the roadway has reopened to single lane alternating traffic, Drive BC says a travel advisory is in effect for the 34.3 km length of Hwy 97 between Stephenson Road and 26 Mile Frontage Road.
Due to heavy rainfall and the potential for debris flow, no stopping is allowed between the two roads while rain continues.
The rain may even cause a closure of the highway if deemed unsafe and Drive BC recommends travellers plan for that event.
