Repairs being made to Lagoon Bridge in the coming weeks

The Lagoon Bridge will be getting some repairs in the next few weeks.

The City of Colwood said drivers should expect to see traffic control personnel at the bridge while the work is being carried out.

<who>City of Colwood</who>The bridge decking is supported by 15 bents. Each bent is made up of 6 piles topped by a cap.

Lagoon Bridge was built in 1930 by the Provincial Government. The wooden bridge receives regular inspections and repairs to keep it safe.

Repairs will be taking place weekdays from 7 am to 7 pm until Aug. 25, 2022.

People should try to travel at non-peak hours, or take a different route.
