People in Duncan, Campbell River and Courtenay can now use UberEats to get their favourite meals delivered.
Starting today, people in those communities can order delivery from restaurants along with everyday essentials.
The service also expanded to Vernon, Squamish, Whistler, Mission, Penticton, Cranbrook and Fort St. John today.
In celebration, UberEats is running a special offer of $0 delivery fees in these 10 cities on all eligible merchants for a limited time.
In addition to ordering from restaurants, people also use the app to order groceries and cannabis.
“As cities and towns across Canada grapple with challenging macroeconomic trends, UberEats offers local restaurants a new way to connect with hungry customers and local delivery people to make delivery fast and easy,” says a statement from the company.
“Our expansion into new cities in British Columbia also means that we’re creating flexible earning opportunities for people from all walks of life who choose to deliver on the platform.”
The company says that UberEats will be available in over 275 cities across the country by the end of 2023.
