After nearly a decade, 2%Jazz Coffee has announced it is closing the doors of the iconic Hudson cafe.
2%Jazz is hosting a closing event for the flagship location this Friday, where you can get coffee for wholesale pricing and specialty brews for a deal.
The event will see the return of an old favourite —the $2 Americano.
Customers can also get a $2 Espresso, $3 Machiatto, $4 Cappuccino, $5 Latte or a $6 Mocha.
Music will be supplied by local DJ Mojojojo in the afternoon, along with some other special surprises throughout the day.
The Hudson location may be closing its doors, but you can still enjoy a brew from 2%Jazz’s Hillside cafe.
The coffee company adds that they have “irons in the fire” for a new shop downtown.
The company says that “connoisseurs and regulars alike will remember the history made at the popular local haunt.”
One major milestone was when 2%Jazz became Victoria’s only living wage coffee company in 2021.
Other monumental moments include when proprietor Sam Jones installing a Diedrich IR7 Roaster in full view of the customers in 2012, and hosting a sold-out run of Victoria International Fringe Festival shows in 2017.
“Thanks for supporting the little guys, for buying local, for believing in living wage employment, and for joining us on the next stage of our journey,” 2%Jazz said.
