With rising inflation, fresh veggies, fruits and meat are becoming more and more unaffordable.
According to a recent report from Statistics Canada, during the past year (April 2021 to April 2022), the price of food rose by 9.7%.
The report indicated that Canadians had to pay a minimum of 10% more for fresh fruit, 10.1% more for meat and 8.2% more for fresh vegetables.
