Some prehistoric is moving into the Royal BC Museum in downtown Victoria.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year exhibit is ending on Apr 16, 2023, and will be replaced by the Dinosaurs of BC exhibit on Apr 17, 2023. The dinos will be around until Jan. 7, 2024.
“Dig into prehistoric British Columbia and get up close and personal with “Buster”, the Iron Lizard of the Sustut River, and the other dinosaurs that once roamed the province’s highest peaks, densest forests and most remote river basins,” the museum says.
“Through research done by the Royal BC Museum’s palaeontology team, we’re learning just how many ancient creatures once called these lands home.”
Then in June, the BC dinosaurs will be joined by Sue the T. Rex.
From Jun 16, 2023 to Feb. 16, 2024, you’ll be able to meet Sue, the most complete and best-preserved Tyrannosaurus rex ever found, and journey through Hell Creek, South Dakota, one of the most well documented ecosystems from the age of dinosaurs.
You’ll learn how Sue survived in a challenging and dangerous time, living to an old age despite the odds.
